File this under the category of "if you thought we don't need feminism anymore..." The memorial dedicated to Kay Yow on the campus of NC State was defaced last weekend. The mural that featured a portrait of Yow had a blue mustache painted over it and the words "cancer rules." Lovely. It's kind of scary that a woman, even in death, is such a threat to those who fear women in power.
No word on who the vandals may have been but some blame fans of UNC who were playing the men's basketball team at NC State that day.
The mural has since been fixed.
